I don't usually comment on social issues since they are so divisive and are often personal choices but the response to an attempted boycott of Chick-fil-A invites comment. See boycottchickfila.com for some of the organizational efforts against Chick-fil-A.
Like many of you, I spent my lunch hour in line at a Chick-fil-A. Apparently this so-called boycott has backfired. It is shaping up to what will surely be a record setting day for Chick-fil-A's sales.
The news that liberal hypocrisy on free speech has popped up its ugly head once again is no surprise. I have a slightly different take on today's events. I submit that the CEO of of Chick-fil-A, Dan Cathy, knew exactly what he was doing when he supported traditionally defined marriage as a union between a man and a woman.
This was a carefully orchestrated business maneuver to increase sales while at the same time make your opponent declare their hypocrisy and ineptitude in a very public manner.
Well played Dan, very well played indeed!
